Virtually anyone out there in the fitness world is seeking to build muscle and burn fat at the same time. One potential solution is the keto diet. This is because beta-hydroxybutyrate has been shown to prevent leucine oxidation, which helps to preserve and build muscle mass (see references below). The problem with this is that many people have unwarranted prejudices when it comes to lowering carbohydrates, and for many people the traditional approach to the keto diet is just too difficult.
