One of the biggest mistakes people make in terms of their health and fitness is treating it like its a hobby. By making it a hobby, it becomes the pursuit of the superficial: abs, biceps, numbers on specific lifts, etc. Here’s the problem: these things are nice to have, but they aren’t vital to your survival. So if something comes up in your life, fitness ends up being the first thing you put to the side for “more important things.” The key is to realize that fitness is vital for your pursuit of those more important things.
