WELCOME TO THE WARRIOR SOUL AGOGE!

Hi, my name is Chris Albert and I built this community to empower US Military Veterans, and anyone else willing to listen, to live their absolute best lives. I do that by delivering tools, tactics, strategies and ideas that help you to show up as the wisest, strongest, most capable version of yourself in your world.

We cover topics like health, physical preparedness, self-mastery, mindset, business, and wealth.

Ok, so let’s get to the biggest question you probably have: what the heck is an Agoge?

In Ancient Sparta, young Spartan boys were taken from their families at the age of 7 to enter the Agoge. This was a system that trained them to become Warriors and citizens of Sparta.

It was there that they learned the art and science of warfare, but they also learned vital life skills that would make them productive citizens for the rest of their lives.

Spartan society was brutal, and it definitely had its imperfections. To graduate from the Agoge, these young warriors would need to strangle a helot to death, without getting caught, because killing helots was illegal.

Nevertheless, the concept: honing young people to live successful lives in the midst of a difficult and brutal environment, has stood the test of time.

Our society has attempted to recreate the Agoge in many forms, from our own military academies and military basic training camps to organized high school and college athletics.

This Agoge is different. While most organized training systems in our society focus on preparing people for specific roles and tasks, this Agoge is meant to prepare you for your greatest task: life.

Everyone gets to exist, but few people ever truly live.

Someday, you’re going to die. I begin every podcast episode with that statement. It might be morbid to think about it, but it’s true. And honestly, it’s a good thing.

It means that you don’t have any reason not to make the most out of this life, and my goal is to remind you of this during each episode. It also means that you have no reason to hesitate when it comes to life.

Our philosophy is based on three principles: drive, resilience, and service.

Drive is the mental fortitude to push yourself to become the best you can be.

Resilience is the ability to allow obstacles and hard times to strengthen you rather than bring you down. All of us will face hard times at some point, and we cannot let them take us away from our purpose in this life.

Service is the willingness and action to help your fellow man even when it doesn’t benefit yourself.

Every piece of media that we produce is based around one of these three concepts, and our goal is to give you a piece of actionable advice that you can use from each episode.

This is a place where you can learn, grow, and find resources to put you onto the path to becoming the best version of yourself.
