A Harvard Lecturer said this week that you shouldn’t eat coconut oil. Moreover, she said that coconut oil is pure poison.
She based this assertion on the idea that coconut oil is high in saturated fat, and that consuming it is a “new” trend.
This, however, is contradicts the fact that coconut oil has been eaten for thousands of years. Polynesian at diets consisting of 63% calories from coconut oil. These people also had extremely low incidences of heart disease until starting the Western Diet.
